Two layers, double the pleasure! The double-bottom bun from Select Bakery hosts two beef patties, cheddar, crispy lettuce, pickles, and creamy burger sauce.
Ingredients for 1 burger
- 1 double-bottom bun Select Bakery
- 200 g. ground beef
- 2 slices of cheddar
- 2 leaves of lettuce, chopped
- 4–5 slices of pickles
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- A little olive oil for cooking
For the burger sauce
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp ketchup
- ½ tsp mustard
- ½ tsp pickle juice
- A pinch of smoked paprika
Instructions
- Mix the sauce ingredients until well combined.
- Divide the meat into two thin patties, slightly larger than the diameter of the bun, and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet or griddle well with a little olive oil. Cook the patties until fully cooked inside. Towards the end, add a slice of cheddar to each.
- Divide the bun into its three parts — base, middle slice, and top — and lightly toast the cut surfaces.
- Spread sauce on the base, add lettuce and the first patty with cheddar.
- Place the middle slice and repeat with sauce, lettuce, pickles, and the second patty.
- Close with the top and serve immediately.
Tip: Toast the middle slice on both sides to better hold the sauce and the juices of the filling.
