The Aristi Pie from Select Bakery serves as the base for a delicious proposal with aromatic ground beef, tomato, and spices. It is served open, with onion, parsley, and lemon, or it can have a tempting layer of melted cheese.
Ingredients for 2 pies
- 2 Aristi Pies Select Bakery
- 200 g ground beef
- ½ small onion, finely chopped
- ½ red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 small tomato, grated and lightly drained
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp sweet paprika
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
For serving
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- A little fresh parsley
- A little sumac
- Slices of lemon
For the cheese version
- 50 g grated mozzarella
- ½ tomato, diced
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onion and bell pepper until softened.
- Add the ground beef and break it up with a spatula until it is fine and fully cooked.
- Add the tomato paste, grated tomato, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the excess liquid evaporates and finish with the parsley.
- Divide the mixture over the Aristi Pies, leaving a small margin around the edges. On one, add the mozzarella.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 6–8 minutes, until the pies are heated through and the cheese is melted.
- Serve the pie without cheese with red onion, parsley, sumac, and a few drops of lemon. Complete the cheese pie with the diced tomatoes and cut it into four pieces.
Tip: The filling should be juicy, without excess liquid, so that the pie maintains its texture.
